Rick has been married to his bride, Laura, for fourteen years. They began their love affair while attending Moody Bible Institute in Chicago, IL.

After graduation, they married and Rick began a twelve year career with Moody Bible Institute, most of which as the Director of Conference Ministries. His responsiblities took him all over the country planning and hosting events for men, women, pastors and married couples.

It was through these ministry engagements and a growing mentor relationship with Dr. Gary Chapman that the Lord began to birth a desire to serve the Kingdom through restoring broken relationships.

Through the encouragement and counsel of Laura, friends, and colleagues, Rick began MarriageVine Ministries in 2005. MarriageVine is a discipleship ministry with a vision to help married individuals remain close to the Vine of Christ through counseling, events, and resources. Today, MarriageVine is ministering to over 20,000 people every day.

Mr. Pierce is currently pursuing a Masters of Marriage and Family Counseling degree from MidAmerica Nazarene University in Olathe, KS and a Masters of Theological Studies degree from Covenant Theological Seminary in St. Louis, MO. He also serves as an elder at his home church, Oak Hills Presbyterian Church (PCA).

Rick and Laura reside in Olathe, KS and have six children: Nicholas (10), Benjamin (7), Ella (5), David (3), Ingrid (7mo.), and at home with the Lord in 2001 is Grace Linnea (23 days).
